Respons one

(1) In the monologue that Caesar recites before being stabbed he said that he wishes that he can try and convince the conspirators to change their minds. And that if begging can be easy to do then people can easily change his mind and trick him. But Caesar says that he is like the Northern star and it will be more difficult to change his mind. This shows that Caesar rules with his mind and he will remain firm with the decisions he made and what others made. Caesar meet his death in the capital in front a crowed of Roman citizens and was stab in front of the people and killed in a public place. This shows about his character because he was naive because he did not suspect that his best friend would back stab him and kill him.

(2) Antony shows that he did not care fore the death of his dearest friend Julius Caesar because he talks about how “Oh, mighty Caesar lies so low”. Antony also states that all of the accomplishments, conquests, glories, triumphs and achievements that he was able to do went to waste because the people of Rome still able to rebel from Caesar. Antony believes that the death of Caesar does not matter a much because there are many things to do in Rome and all of this shows the cause of noble blood and corruption. Antony dose not truly side with the conspirators because Antony thinks all what they did was the fact that killed a noble and the started a new era.

Question to group members- What does Antony means when he said in Act111 scene 1 that last page “According to which, thou shalt discourse To young Octaius of the state of things” Is Antony felling depress for Caesar death?
